Job summary

Graphcore is offering a 12-week Software Engineering Summer Intern position in Drivers and Utilities at our Bristol site. You will work on drivers that connect Graphcore’s AI hardware with machine learning software, gaining hands-on experience across kernel and user-space development within a cross-functional team.

You’ll write code, add unit tests, run manual tests, and help maintain CI pipelines. The internship provides exposure to the full software stack and a path toward future graduate

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Maths, ML, Data Science or related field
• Low-level software experience such as embedded code or device drivers and introductory programming in C, C++ or Python
• Basic electronics knowledge, including ability to read schematics and datasheets
• Awareness of CI systems like Jenkins, plus experience using Git to manage source code, PRs and merges

Responsibilities

• Work on drivers that connect Graphcore’s AI hardware with ML software
• Explore kernel and user-space development with hardware and software teams
• Write code, add unit tests and manually test changes
• Maintain CI and fix issues to keep development moving
• Collaborate with engineers across the hardware and software stack
