Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a senior civil/structural engineering leader within the Energy team. You will drive technical direction, governance and performance across projects from feasibility to commissioning, while challenging design decisions and acting as a technical authority for complex, high‑risk commissions.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, constructability, and whole‑life value, with opportunities to lead digital engineering, innovation and cross‑disciplinary collaboration

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status with a recognised body.
• Significant post‑chartership experience in civil/structural work within energy or major infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for civil and structural engineering within the Energy team.
• Act as technical authority and independent reviewer on complex projects.
• Lead technical reviews across structural disciplines and ensure design integrity.
• Develop discipline procedures, guides and competence requirements.
