Loss Adjuster

Are you looking to elevate your career while having more time to connect with your customers? Aviva is offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Loss Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you'll handle large property claims and enjoy the benefits of working directly with a leading insurer.

Here at Aviva, we are currently seeking a Loss Adjuster – a home-based position, visiting our customers in Hampshire and Sussex. To be considered, you must have a full UK driving license and reside in this region, as customer visits are an integral part of your role!

A bit about the job:

You will be responsible for providing a customer-focused and cost-effective service by handling property claims from instruction to completion, ensuring all claims are managed within agreed financial authority limits. Your role will be based from home and will involve reasonable travel across the UK to meet our customers' needs. We offer flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, to provide the best service possible. A company car will be provided for your travel.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

As part of Aviva’s Major Complex Claims team, we’re eager to welcome an experienced insurance professional with a passion for handling high-value and complex property claims.

  • High-Value Claims Experience: Ideally, you have experience with claims around £100,000, but we’re open to candidates with experience over £50,000.
  • Professional Growth: A minimum qualification of Cert CII or CILA is required; aiming for Dip CII is a plus but not essential.
  • Technical Know-How: A deep understanding of insurance principles, subrogation, underwriting practices, and ABI report writing is highly valued.
  • Building Practices Insight: Knowledge of building practices and regulations for property reinstatements and tendering processes is advantageous.
  • Customer Focus: Proven experience in managing claims from start to finish, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
