Job summary

McLarens in South Wales seeks a Commercial Loss Adjuster to join our expanding team. You will handle a broad portfolio of commercial claims from investigation to settlement, working remotely in/around the South Wales region.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, you will negotiate settlements, coordinate with insureds, insurers and brokers, and conduct on-site surveys. Travel is required to cover the geographic region and deliver timely, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial loss adjusting or allied professions.
• Working towards professional qualifications is desirable.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Travel required due to geographic coverage.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, negotiate and agree settlement of claims professionally.
• Liaise with insured, insurers and brokers for timely conclusions.
• Complete on-site investigations and damage surveys.
• Produce reports per professional standards and internal guidelines within agreed timescales.

We currently have exciting opportunities for talented and proven Commercial Adjusters to join our expanding teams. These roles will be home based in/around the South Wales region.

Loss Adjuster

Location: South Wales - Remote, WLS, GB

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Manager you will be responsible for handling a broad portfolio of commercial claims, from investigation to settlement, ensuring company standards are met in relation to all technical and operational policies and procedures, including data protection and information security.

Key Accountabilities

• Investigating, negotiating and agreeing settlement of claims in a professional manner
• Liaising with insured, insurers and brokers to achieve professional and timely conclusion of claims
• Completing on site investigations and damage surveys for claims
• Producing reports in compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines in accordance with agreed timescales
• Actively contribute towards McLarens’ business development programme.
• Network, identify and facilitate opportunities for business growth
• Undertaking projects and other ad hoc work as required.

Experience And Qualifications

Successful candidates must hold or ideally be working towards professional qualifications and have gained experience in the commercial loss adjusting sector, or in allied professions, demonstrating a focus on quality, communication and organisational skills. They will have proven capability in negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving, coupled with strong stakeholder management. An ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally is imperative. A proven, positive reputation in the Broker and Insurer market would be advantageous.

Due to the geographic coverage of the role travel will be required.
