Job summary

Long Term Futures is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a secondary school in Tower Hamlets, E3. This full-time, long-term opportunity involves supporting students with SEN while providing general classroom assistance to help lessons run smoothly.

Experience in secondary settings is preferred, including transferable care or youth-work roles. An Enhanced DBS (Update Service) is required or willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students in secondary school settings is preferred.
• Enhanced DBS check (Update Service) required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEN to access lessons and participate in classroom activities.
• Provide general classroom assistance to teachers across subjects.
• Work with individuals and small groups needing additional guidance.
• Help students understand instructions and develop independence in learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and respectful interactions throughout the day.
• Assist with preparing learning materials and organizing resources.
