Job summary

Senploy is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming girls' secondary school in Wandsworth, supporting students across KS3 and KS4. This full-time, term-time only role offers up to £125 per day and an immediate start.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group learning support, assist pupils with SEN, and work with teachers to deliver literacy and numeracy interventions, helping pupils develop confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience as Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or SEN TA desirable.
• Experience with secondary-aged students is preferred.
• Understanding of SEN/SEND barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Support students across KS3 and KS4.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support.
• Support students with SEN and additional learning needs.
• Work alongside teachers within mainstream lessons.
• Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement.
• Support behaviour and emotional wellbeing where required.
• Work with the SENCO, teachers and pastoral team.

Long Term Futures are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming girls' secondary school in Wandsworth, supporting students across KS3 and KS4.

The school is looking for a proactive and engaging Learning Support Assistant who can provide additional academic and pastoral support to students, including those with SEN and additional learning needs.

This is a long-term position offering excellent experience for an established LSA/Teaching Assistant or a graduate considering a future career in teaching, SEN or education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students across KS3 and KS4
• Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support
• Support students with SEN and additional learning needs
• Work alongside teachers within mainstream lessons
• Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions
• Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or SEN TA is desirable
• Experience working with secondary-aged students
• Understanding of SEN/SEND and barriers to learning
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Confidence supporting students across different subjects
• A patient, professional and proactive approach
• Graduates considering teacher training are encouraged to apply
