Job summary

Supply Desk are seeking a Cover Supervisor to work within a supportive secondary school in the Basingstoke area. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The role involves delivering pre-set work across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintaining positive behaviour for learning and supporting students throughout the school day. No planning or marking is required, making this an ideal stepping stone into teaching.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in education, coaching or mentoring.
• Confident in managing a classroom and maintaining positive behaviour.
• Able to deliver pre-planned lessons across secondary subjects.
• Adaptable, organised and able to think on their feet.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Degree or relevant experience working within schools is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one.
