Job summary

Supply Desk are seeking a Cover Supervisor to work in a supportive secondary school in the Basingstoke area. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate and paying £100-£130 per day.

The role runs from 8:00am to 3:30pm. You will deliver pre-set work across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintaining positive behaviour for learning and supporting students throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Have experience working with young people in an educational, coaching or mentoring environment.
• Are confident managing a classroom and maintaining positive behaviour.
• Can deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
• Are adaptable, organised and able to think on their feet.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hold a degree or relevant experience working within schools (desirable but not essential).
• Are passionate about supporting students and helping them achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set work across Key Stages 3 and 4 while maintaining positive behaviour for learning.
• Support students throughout the school day with guidance and supervision.
• No planning or marking is required, making this an ideal stepping stone into teaching.
