Job summary

Red Personnel Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Manager for a busy London self-storage store (N1). The role offers £28,980 per year with a quarterly bonus, on a five-day-per-week pattern across seven days, and real opportunities to develop into a senior operational position.

You will lead by example, deliver strong customer service and drive occupancy and revenue. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, manage a small team, and support marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence engaging with customers face to face and over the telephone.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Proactive, self-disciplined approach with ability to work independently.
• Experience supervising or motivating a small team.

Responsibilities

• Support the achievement of the store's sales, occupancy and financial targets.
• Identify opportunities to increase occupancy and revenue.
• Handle sales enquiries by telephone and in person and convert to bookings.
• Deliver excellent customer service and respond to a diverse range of needs.
• Supervise and motivate Customer Service Assistants, leading by example.
• Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absence and report to the Regional Manager.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented store and follow Health & Safety procedures.
• Monitor store performance against budgets and support promotions.
• Assist with reporting, unit mix analysis and administrative tasks.
