Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking a Logistics Technician to support day-to-day stores and inventory operations within a structured, safe environment.

In this role you will receive deliveries, book into stock, check documentation, and use SAP B1 to maintain accuracy. Start ASAP on a 3-month temporary contract with potential extension.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and book into stock accurately.
• Check delivery docs; ensure Certificates of Conformance are received.
• Inspect items and report supplier performance when required.
• Pack finished goods safely for dispatch.
• Ensure correct documentation accompanies shipments.
• Pick stock against works orders to support production.
• Receive internally produced items into stock and perform checks.
• Maintain stock levels and traceability in SAP B1.
• Support stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Keep stores organized, safe and tidy.
• Improve stock flow and store space usage.
• Participate in process audits and continuous improvement.

Logistics Technician Pertemps Bond Newport, Isle of Wight,South East,UK

Logistics Technician
Pay Rate: £13.36 per hour
Contract: Initially 3 months temporary, with potential for extension
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Frequency: Weekly or monthl

The Role

Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the stores and inventory function.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Receiving incoming deliveries and ensuring goods are accurately booked into stock
• Checking delivery documentation and ensuring all required documentation, including Certificates of Conformance, is received
• Completing accurate inspection records and reporting supplier performance where required
• Safely packing finished goods and other materials for dispatch
• Ensuring correct documentation accompanies shipments
• Picking stock against works orders to support production requirements
• Receiving internally produced items into stock and carrying out relevant checks
• Maintaining accurate stock levels and material traceability using SAP B1 and other in-house systems
• Supporting stock counts and reconciliation of inventory
• Maintaining an organised, safe and tidy stores environment
• Helping to maximise the effective use of stores space and improve stock flow
• Supporting the development and improvement of operational processes
• Participating in process audits and continuous improvement activities

About You

• Previous experience within logistics, stores, stock control or inventory management
• Experience working with an ERP or stock management system
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Experience working with couriers and shipping agents
• The physical capability to lift and move boxes of stock
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
• The ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
• The ability to work with minimum supervision and use your own initiative
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A flexible and conscientious approach to work
