Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operative to join our team. This role requires a highly organised and reliable individual who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment and is committed to delivering the highest standards of service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the delivery, collection, storage and disposal of parcels, packages, goods and other miscellaneous items across multiple site locations. This includes accurately recording and tracking items to ensure compliance with storage, disposal and audit requirements. Full training will be provided.

The Logistics Operative will regularly liaise with external suppliers and service providers while ensuring the safe operation of equipment and vehicles, including forklift trucks, electric reach trucks, hand-operated pallet trucks, flatbed trucks and tail-lift vehicles.

The role involves handling and moving large or heavy items in accordance with manual handling procedures, operating X-ray screening equipment, and managing logistics activities in a safe, secure and efficient manner. The successful candidate will maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure all contract, site and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• -Coordinate the receipt, distribution, collection, storage and disposal of goods across multiple locations.
• -Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections and stored items.
• -Operate logistics equipment and vehicles safely and effectively following relevant training and procedures.
• -Conduct general housekeeping duties, ensuring facilities, stores, meeting rooms, yards and buildings are maintained to a high standard.
• -Support the on-site Workplace and Facilities Management teams with projects, furniture moves and other operational activities.
• -Deliver excellent customer service through professional communication with customers and colleagues, both face-to-face and via telephone or email.
• -Attend all mandatory training and compliance updates as required.
• -Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role and business needs.
• -Complete cross-training to provide operational cover at our Hedge End and Swanwick sites

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have experience within a logistics, facilities management or customer-facing operational environment and demonstrate a proactive, flexible approach to work.

Essential Requirements

• -Full, clean UK driving licence.
• -Ability to obtain and maintain SC Security Clearance.
• -Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, customers and stakeholders at all levels.
• -Flexible, adaptable and customer-focused approach.
• -Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a strong sense of individual responsibility.
• -Understanding of safe working practices and health and safety requirements.

Desirable Requirements

• -Experience within the facilities management or workplace services industry.
• -Previous experience in a logistics or distribution environment.
• -Forklift truck licence and/or relevant material handling certifications.
• -Knowledge of warehouse, inventory or asset management processes.
