Job summary

The Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a proactive Logistics Operations Coordinator to oversee our 3PL partner relations, monitor daily logistics, and uphold inventory accuracy across systems. Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, supply chain or warehouse operations.
• Experience with 3PL providers is advantageous.
• Strong IT skills, including MS Office.
• Experience with ERP systems like Oracle or SAP is beneficial.

Logistics Operations Coordinator

Location: Newbury
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
Contract: 12 Month Maternity Cover
Travel: Monthly travel to Oxfordshire required
Full UK Driving Licence Essential

We are looking for a proactive and organised Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with logistics operational experience who enjoys problem-solving, working with multiple stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement.

A key part of the role will be managing the relationship with our Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider, ensuring daily operations run smoothly, service levels are maintained, and inventory accuracy is upheld across multiple systems. You will act as a central point of contact between internal teams and the 3PL partner, helping to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure operational excellence.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acting as the key contact for our 3PL warehouse provider, building strong working relationships and ensuring operational priorities are met.
• Monitoring daily logistics activities and resolving operational challenges as they arise.
• Reviewing performance metrics and service levels to ensure targets are achieved.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records across systems and investigating stock discrepancies.
• Supporting supply chain planning activities and helping to resolve delivery and stock-related issues.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
• Maintaining and updating process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
• Supporting inventory compliance, quality processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Working closely with internal departments to support business initiatives and product launches.
• Providing general operational and administrative support across the logistics function.

About You

• Previous experience within logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment.
• Experience working with or managing relationships with 3PL providers would be highly advantageous.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Experience working within a regulated environment would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar would be advantageous.

Additional Requirements

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to travel to Oxfordshire approximately once per month.
• Comfortable working in a fully office-based environment.
