Job summary

NSG Environmental Ltd in Liverpool is seeking a highly organised Transport Coordinator to support daily transport operations, monitor schedules and update TMS/WMS systems. You will act as the main contact for customers and providers, prepare documentation, and assist with planning, reporting and compliance.

The role offers variety across transport, warehousing and distribution activities and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Experience in distribution, transport, warehousing or supply chain administration.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using transport management systems (TMS) and/or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and import/export documentation.
• Experience coordinating container movements.
• Logistics, transport or warehouse industry experience.
• Understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and coordination of daily transport operations.
• Accurately update transport and warehouse management systems.
• Monitor vehicle arrivals, departures and delivery schedules.
• Proactively manage outstanding orders to achieve OTIF performance.
• Assist with warehouse loading and unloading plans.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers and transport providers.
• Provide timely updates on deliveries and issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Liaise with hauliers, shipping lines, ports and service providers.
• Prepare transport and container documentation.
• Coordinate import and export paperwork with customers and the Customs Department.
• Maintain operational records and ensure compliance.
• Support the Distribution Manager with planning and reporting.
• Monitor performance and escalate issues.
• Assist with new customer requirements.
• Provide general admin support across distribution including picking/loading.
