Job summary

NEWELL in Lichfield is seeking a Distribution & Transportation Coordinator to ensure smooth flow of products through the Distribution Centre in Fradley. You will coordinate warehouse and transport activities, supporting high service levels and contributing to continuous improvement.

The role offers development through feedback and online training courses, with exposure to cross-functional collaboration across Customer Service, Sales and Marketing teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or transportation operations.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence working with MS Office, especially Excel
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse and transport operations to ensure products are shipped on time and customer requirements are met.
• Plan and monitor stock movements, shipments, and order schedules, including support for peak periods and special projects.
• Serve as the main point of contact for Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing on logistics, deliveries, and shipment tracking.
• Investigate and resolve delivery, transport, claims, and returns issues, working closely with carriers and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock reconciliation and system updates in SAP and WMS.
• Prepare transportation documentation, including export and cross-border shipping paperwork.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
