Job summary

Langdons in Redditch is looking for a Transport Operator to ensure our transport operation runs smoothly. You will plan driver routes, build loads and coordinate resources to complete collections and deliveries safely, cost-effectively and on time.

Working with drivers, customers and internal teams you will monitor plans, communicate updates and keep systems and transport documentation accurate, while supporting wider transport and customer service functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or customer-focused office environments.
• Knowledge of transport regulations and health and safety.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, organisation and planning.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive, initiative-taking and team player.
• Level 3 Supply Chain Operator qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Build loads and plan routes efficiently, considering driver restrictions and operational requirements.
• Monitor plans and communicate updates to customers, drivers and colleagues.
• Identify and resolve transport issues to maintain service levels.
• Update company systems accurately and ensure documentation is completed correctly.
• Work closely with workshop teams to ensure vehicle availability and service schedules.
• Provide support and cover for Customer Service and Driver Debrief functions when required.
