Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking a proactive Plant and Logistics Administrator based in Chester to coordinate material and equipment logistics across CCS work phases. You will maintain inventory, oversee loading/unloading, and manage workforce movement aligned with 2025–2027 plans.

You will ensure safety compliance, accuracy of records, and effective coordination with planning, procurement, and site teams. Experience in transport/logistics within infrastructure is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management within construction, utilities, or infrastructure.
• Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, Work at Height Regulations, and transport legislation.
• Ability to manage multiple compliance streams across a multi-site operation.
• Strong organisational, data management, and communication skills.
• Desirable CPC qualification or transport management qualification.
• NEBOSH / IOSH qualification or equivalent H&S background.
• Experience with digital inspection, asset management, or fleet systems.
• Experience supporting audits (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 900).

Responsibilities

• Material & Equipment Logistics: coordinate scheduling, delivery, tracking for CCS work phases.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely availability of components.
• Oversee unloading, storage, and distribution at laydown areas and sites.
• Site & Personnel Movement Plan and manage workforce logistics for 2025-2027.
• Coordinate transport, site access, inductions, PPE allocation, and crew movement.
• Ensure compliance with safety and site security procedures.
• Documentation & Reporting: maintain logistics registers and records.
• Support onboarding, invoicing, and CCS coordination communications.
• Compliance & Safety: align logistics with PAS 2080 and environmental considerations.
• Contribute to site readiness and pre-start processes and inductions.
