Job summary

SGN is seeking a Support Driver to deliver and collect equipment across South England. You’ll ensure timely, safe deliveries and keep site areas tidy while supporting operations and compliance with safety requirements.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, flexibility for a 7-day standby rota, and good communication skills. Gas industry knowledge and NRSWA/CPC qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, including ability to converse with the public.
• Flexible and able to work a 7-day standby rota.
• Experience or aptitude with smartphones/tablets.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Towing accreditation up to 7.5t preferred but not essential.
• Some knowledge of the gas industry and local area is advantageous.
• NRSWA unit 1 and a CPC qualification card would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out deliveries of NRSWA compliant equipment to sites in a timely manner and ensuring site clearance is complete to mitigate the risk of financial penalties from local authorities
• Delivering materials to teams working on site
• Co-ordinating store duties and taking deliveries
• Keeping outside equipment compounds safe and tidy
• Keeping your vehicle tidy

We are currently looking for a Support Driver to assist with the delivery and collection of equipment to operational sites across South England.

What You’ll Need

• Experience or aptitude in the use of smart phones/tablets
• A full UK license is required
• Accreditation for towing trailers and up to 7.5t preferred but not essential
• Some knowledge of the gas industry and the local area would be an advantage
• NRSWA ticket unit 1 and a drivers CPC qualification card would be an advantage
