Job summary

Expeditors in Birmingham is seeking a Distribution Administrator to ensure timely movement of freight and information while delivering exceptional customer service within the Distribution department. You will process customer orders daily, generate required paperwork, manage inventory records, and cooperate with warehouse staff to ship orders.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely reports, and strong communication with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Strong IT literacy with ability to learn warehouse systems.
• Excellent MS Excel and Word skills.
• Fluent in English with good communication.
• 6–12 months related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Process and input customer orders and distribution accounts daily.
• Prepare and provide operational reports in a timely manner.
• Generate paperwork for customer work orders and check special requests.
• Data entry for receiving, order allocation, shipping and inventory management.
• Rate domestic transportation bills.
• Track orders and inform customers of status.
• Ensure accurate client and vendor billing.
• Maintain damage records and backorder logs.
• Provide documents to warehouse staff for receiving and shipping.
• Liaise between warehouse, customer accounts and invoicing.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and trucking companies.
• Support with miscellaneous projects and filing.
• Comply with OPS and government regulations; escalate issues to management.
