Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group in Bridgwater is seeking a Customer Service & Dispatch Coordinator to manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery. You will coordinate dispatch, logistics and export activities to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full, while delivering excellent customer service.

This site-based role offers 37.5 hours per week, with the option to work from home up to 6 days per month after probation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' customer service experience.
• Experience in customer service, order management, dispatch, logistics or supply chain coordination.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and business systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and account managers regarding order status and delivery schedules.
• Respond to and resolve customer queries, escalating issues where required.
• Maintain accurate customer and order records.
• Coordinate dispatch activities with Planning, Production, Warehouse and Logistics teams.
• Arrange domestic and international shipments.
• Liaise with transport providers, freight forwarders and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor shipments and resolve any delivery or transport issues.
• Prepare and issue all required transport documentation to hauliers and customers, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely communication throughout the delivery process.
• Obtain and evaluate transport quotations from approved carriers to secure cost-effective and efficient logistics solutions while meeting operational requirements.
• Prepare and review export and shipping documentation.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping and customs requirements.
• Apply and maintain accurate commodity code and customs information.
• Support shipments Letters of Credit and other export requirements.
• Work with freight forwarders and customs agents to facilitate smooth export processes.
• Support improvements to customer service, dispatch and export processes.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of procedures and best practices.
• Carry out other duties appropriate to the role.
