Job summary

Cammach is recruiting a Logistics Coordinator for a 3-month contract, based in Dyce. The role supports the day-to-day logistics function, focusing on cost effectiveness and timely carriage via approved vendors for imports and exports.

Responsibilities include organising Import & Export shipments, maintaining documents (Bills of Lading, Commercial invoices, AWBs, Customs Entries) and ensuring HMRC clearance for air and sea shipments globally; you will prepare a delivery schedule and verify

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' logistics experience in an MRP environment.
• A Level standard with a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English & Maths.
• Knowledge of import/export regimes and documentation practices.

Cammach are delighted to be recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator on behalf of our client. This 3-month contract is a great opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to join a busy team and make an immediate impact. The role will fully office-based in Dyce.

ROLE

Responsible for assisting in the day to day management of the logistics function, ensuring cost effectiveness and timely management of carriage, using approved vendors for Imports and Exports.

Responsibilities

Essential

• Organizing Import & Export shipments in line with company requirements.
• Ensuring the integrity of all documentation such as Bills of lading, Commercial invoices, AWBs and Customs Entries.
• Knowledge of all Import & Export regimes i.e. IPR / RGR / Duty Paid.
• Timely preparation of shipping documentation and authorization for HMRC for all air and sea shipments globally.
• Preparing and maintaining a delivery schedule and communicating to all relevant departments.
• Verification of all freight invoices.
• Deliver against departmental KPIs.

Non-Essential

• Organizing Local/National Haulage requirements & Crane Hire
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required

• A Level standard with a minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade C passes, to include English & Math’s or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of logistics within an MRP environment.

Desired

• Member of CIPS or equivalent logistics qualification.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics

• Excellent understanding of efficient materials flow and best practice.
• Extensive experience in dealing with global suppliers.
• Strong track record of negotiating logistics terms.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight schedules
• Strong organisational and administration skills.
