Job summary

Taiko in London is seeking an experienced Logistics & Supply Chain professional to own import/export activities and oversee UK/EU compliance.

You will manage freight forwarders, customs agents and logistics partners, drive KPIs, and work with ERP/WMS systems to optimise stock and deliveries. The role offers a chance to contribute to sustainability initiatives and develop in a growing food manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics, import/export or supply chain (FMCG or food manufacturing is a big plus).
• Strong knowledge of international trade, customs compliance and Incoterms.
• Experience managing freight forwarders, 3PLs and logistics partners.
• Comfortable working with ERP/WMS systems and data (Excel skills essential).
• A natural problem-solver with strong organisational and negotiation skills.
• Confident communicating and influencing across teams and stakeholders.
• Lean / Six Sigma experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Imports & Exports: Own all import and export activity—documentation, compliance, freight and delivery.
• Ensure shipments meet UK, EU and international trade and food safety regulations.
• Build strong relationships with freight forwarders, hauliers and customs agents.
• Monitor shipments, troubleshoot delays and keep everything moving.
• Logistics & Warehouse Operations: Oversee flow of goods from supplier to production to customer.
• Track and drive performance through KPIs (delivery, cost, turnaround, inventory).
• Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste and improve performance.
