Job summary

XPO Logistics in Crick is recruiting a Contract Manager to lead on-site operations for a key account, delivering a high quality and safe service to customers. This role will require proactive management of daily activities and close collaboration with the account team to optimise performance and profitability.

You will oversee KPI reporting, cost controls, and safety compliance while coordinating with the Regional and Account Managers to develop the contract and respond to client needs.

Qualifications

• Proven operational management experience in a complex logistics/transport environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience in budgeting/P&L oversight and cost control.
• CPC certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage daily activities of the contract on behalf of the key account.
• Ensure contract teams deliver a customer-focused and responsive service.
• Monitor and improve service performance and profitability.
• Assist Regional Manager with contract requirements and account development.
• Manage contract costs within budget and support budget preparation.
• Maintain contract health and safety standards and coordinate related activities.
• Present KPI data to internal teams and the customer.
• Oversee interfaces between XPO Logistics and clients to protect interests.
• Manage the team’s performance and provide cover as needed.
• Communicate with the customer from day-to-day to contract reviews.
