Job summary

Staffline is recruiting Logistics Administrators for our Peterborough site. The role supports the import, clearance and arrival of fresh produce from international suppliers, ensuring on-time deliveries and data accuracy.

This full-time position operates 4 on 4 off hours (05:45am - 6:00pm). Overtime is available, with pay rates from £13.90 to £17.38 per hour. Staffline provides on-site support, training and canteen facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, import/export or fresh produce operations is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills are required.
• Strong IT skills including Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily import, clearance and arrival of fresh produce from international suppliers to the AMT Fresh site.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, hauliers, customs agents and internal departments to ensure smooth product flow.
• Monitor inbound deliveries, track shipments and resolve transport or delivery issues to minimise disruption.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, shipment documentation and import paperwork in systems.
• Work with Warehouse, Production, Planning and Commercial teams to communicate arrival schedules.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and costs while maintaining service.

Great opportunity to work as a Logistics Administrator for our clients leading fruit and vegetable production site.

Staffline is recruting Logistics Administrators in Peterborough.

The rate of pay is £13.90 per hour.

Overtime is available and is paid at £17.38 per hour.

Your Time at Work

As a Logistics Administrator you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating the daily import, clearance and arrival of fresh produce from international suppliers to the AMT Fresh site, ensuring all deliveries arrive on time and in full.
• Liaising with suppliers, freight forwarders, hauliers, customs agents and internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient product flow through the supply chain.
• Monitoring inbound deliveries, tracking shipments and resolving any transport, customs or delivery issues to minimise disruption to operations.
• Maintaining accurate logistics records, shipment documentation, import paperwork and system updates to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
• Working closely with Warehouse, Production, Planning and Commercial teams to communicate arrival schedules and support business requirements.
• Identifying opportunities to improve logistics processes, service levels and operational costs while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Supporting logistics projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the wider Logistics and Supply Chain team.
• Predominantly office-based role with extensive computer and telephone use.

This is a full-time role working 4 on 4 off and the hours of work are:

• 05:45am - 6:00pm

• Experience within logistics, supply chain, import/export or fresh produce operations would be advantageous.
• Flexible, proactive and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commercially aware with the ability to contribute towards cost-effective logistics operations.
• Ability to sit and work at a workstation for extended periods.
• Occasional visits to warehouse and operational areas, requiring adherence to site health and safety procedures.
• Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to changing priorities.
