Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join the friendly Statom Plant team

Location Thurrock (relocating to Barking within the next 12 months)

Working Hours Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 or 06:00 to 15:00 (split shift)

Key responsibilities

  • Daily costings to charge sites
  • Generating drivers work schedule and sending to drivers
  • Print off paperwork to collate and issue to drivers
  • Raising purchase orders for external hauliers
  • Dealing with stakeholders, suppliers, job sites
  • Applying for movement orders for wide loads/STGO
  • Download vehicle and drivers' tachograph cards to upload for analysis
  • Assist in the planning/scheduling of logistic operations

Requirements

Experience & skills required

Essential

  • Previous experience with logistics operations/requirements administration
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (word/excel etc
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and to demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, independently and under pressure

Desired

  • Understanding of the construction industry
  • Knowledge of logistic operations
  • Knowledge/understanding of Drivers' Hours Rules and WTD
  • Knowledge of FORS requirements
