Join to apply for the Logistic Technician role at Microsoft.

As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will perform cycle audits, execute incoming/outgoing deliveries, coordinate security escorts for third-party vendors, and document inbound and outbound deliveries as instructed by management. You will initiate warranty claims and process returns on failed equipment. This opportunity allows you to build knowledge of inventory management principles, warranty process management, data bearing device destruction, and advance your career.

Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work periods under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
  • Coordinate warranty claims with suppliers, including processing, packaging, shipment, and receipt of return devices following SLAs.
  • Develop knowledge of stock control and inventory management practices.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and maintain records.
  • Familiarize with contractual guidelines with suppliers and maintain a customer-focused approach.
  • Perform cycle audits and data corrections to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Help reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
  • Track and stage physical inventory meticulously.
  • Under supervision, destroy data-bearing devices following SLAs and policies.
  • Comply with security and data management policies.
  • Embody Microsoft’s culture and values.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and experience or internship in inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or related fields.
  • OR equivalent experience.
Background Check Requirements

Ability to meet security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire, transfer, and every two years.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years’ experience in warehouse/supply chain in IT or logistics, operating heavy equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • OR equivalent experience.
