Job summary

Locum Ready in Knutsford is seeking a proactive Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice. You will assist with routine clinical duties and day-to-day treatment room activity to help deliver high-quality care.

In this role you will perform observations, assist with patient assessments and record updates, with ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions and both morning and afternoon slots available. DBS enhanced clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Support treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Complete ECGs and assist with routine patient assessments.
• Provide lifestyle advice and support health promotion.
• Update patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assist clinicians with general tasks as required.
