Locum Ready is seeking a Practice Nurse to join a GP practice in Westcliff-on-Sea. The role focuses on chronic disease reviews, wound care, immunisations, and routine nursing clinics within a structured primary care setting.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventive health work and efficient treatment room activities, supported by organized workflows and clear daily clinic structure.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Nurse with experience in primary care.
• Immunisation training; cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and clinical reasoning.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.

Responsabilités

• Conducting chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Performing wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carrying out adult and children's immunisations (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system.
