Locum Ready is seeking a GP Practice Nurse for a locum role in West Malling. The role involves delivering chronic disease reviews, wound care, immunisations, and routine clinic activity within a structured primary care setting.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventive health work and efficient treatment room duties with supportive nursing leadership and clear daily clinic structure.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Nurse with experience in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.

Responsibilities

• Conducting chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension
• Performing wound care, dressings and treatment room duties
• Carrying out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained)
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses)
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system
