Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse for a GP practice in Weymouth. The role suits a nurse with strong assessment skills to deliver chronic disease reviews, wound care, immunisations, and routine clinics in a structured primary care setting.

You will support high-quality patient care with clinical reviews, preventive health work and effective treatment room activity, backed by supportive nursing leadership and organized daily workflows.

Qualifications

• Must be an NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
