Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Nottinghamshire seeks a locum consultant for oncoplastic breast surgery for four months. The post covers prevention, diagnosis and treatment with oncoplastic procedures, plus on-call duties and supervision of junior staff.

Applicants should have two years in an oncoplastic unit and be eligible for the GMC Specialist Register. Teaching, audits and service development are integral to the role.

Qualificações

• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register, or eligible for entry within six months of CCT.
• Success in the Intercollegiate Specialty Examination (FRCS) or equivalent.
• Oncoplastic breast surgery training and experience equivalent to a UK CCST.

Responsabilidades

• Provide a service covering prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness and the functioning of the department.
• Focus clinical work on oncoplastic breast surgery and perform planned surgery and clinics as required.
• Take part in out-of-hours work and consultant on-call rota where applicable.
• Supervise and manage junior medical staff and contribute to education locally and nationally.
• Engage in clinical governance, CPD, audits and budget compliance as needed.
• Work flexibly across two sites and take on special interests.
