Job summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Occupational Therapist for an Ipswich-based Adult Social Care directorate on a 6-month agency contract. The role focuses on proactive reviews and assessments to reduce OT waiting lists and improve service efficiency.

The position requires HCPC registration and a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy, with strong moving and handling experience and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely delivery of front-line occupational therapy services across the directorate
• Proactively undertake occupational therapy reviews and assessments
• Support triage activity and reduce duplication between health and social care
• Assist with occupational therapy waiting list reduction initiatives
• Support external care providers to ensure safe and correct moving and handling practices
• Review and rationalise care packages to ensure best value and appropriate equipment use
• Review: double-handed care packages, waking night care packages, general care packages
• Provide mutual aid to other occupational therapy teams as required
• Complete Care Act-compliant assessments and reviews
