Seven Group Holdings Limited in Lowestoft seeks a locum Housing Support Finance Officer to support housing operations with an hourly rate to be confirmed. This role offers flexibility and the potential for full-time opportunities as a part of our Finance team.

You will assist the Housing Support Accountant with payments, help deliver the Council’s financial strategies, and analyze financial information to support Housing Payables and collaboration with external partners.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (A-C) including Maths and English or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic VAT invoicing knowledge.
• Commitment to professional development and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Housing Support Accountant in managing the payment functions, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
• Collaborate to support the delivery of the Council's medium-term financial strategies and enhance the Council's Strategic Plan.
• Utilize your professional judgement to analyze financial information, providing necessary support for Housing Payables.
• Work closely within the Housing Support Finance team and with external partners to provide robust financial support.
• Meet key deadlines and proactively challenge and improve current financial processes.
• Identify and address emerging financial issues, recommending corrective measures when needed.
