Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Lancing. This role is ideal for a proactive HCA who will assist the clinical team with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity.

You will work in an organised primary care environment, helping manage patient flow, support core clinical duties and contribute to high-quality care delivery. DBS compliance and NHS experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience performing observations (BP, pulse, temp, SpO2) and supporting clinical duties.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
