Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a proactive Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support a GP practice in Bromley. You will work with the clinical team on routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity to ensure smooth sessions.

This role suits someone with prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS, with DBS clearance, and the ability to carry out clinical observations and basic IT documentation in the practice system.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
