Local Change Lead for Public Sector Projects

Job summary

Addition in Bristol or York is seeking a Junior Project Manager/ Project Coordinator/ Change Coordinator to lead local delivery of a new organisational structure within a large public sector transformation. The role is 3 days on-site and Inside IR35, contract through to Financial Year End.

You will build relationships with stakeholders, manage risks and dependencies, support communications, and report progress to management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering organisational change, transformation or implementation projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across levels of an organisation.
• Experience supporting teams through structural or operational change.
• Good understanding of risk, issue and dependency management.
• Strong organisational skills, coordinating multiple activities and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience reviewing processes and identifying practical improvements.
• Independent work style with collaboration with wider project teams.
• Ability to build trust quickly and handle challenging conversations constructively.
• Strong reporting and project administration capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead local delivery of the new organisational structure and translate plans into action.
• Act as a trusted change partner for local teams navigating the transition.
• Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including leaders and HQ teams.
• Support staff engagement and communications to explain changes.
• Identify and manage local risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where needed.
• Review processes to remove duplication and improve efficiency within the new model.
• Help teams establish effective processes and ways of working in the new structure.
• Support process mapping, knowledge sharing and upskilling as required.
• Coordinate activity across local teams and with colleagues in other locations and HQ.
• Produce clear implementation and progress reports for management.
