Job summary

Nationwide is hiring a Local Business Manager for our Northampton branch. You’ll be the local face of our Business Banking proposition, building trusted relationships with business customers and community networks to identify and progress new opportunities.

This permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday) focuses on delivering great customer experiences, onboarding, servicing and handling more complex needs while managing risk and regulatory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering excellent customer outcomes in a customer-focused role within a regulated environment.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and understand customer needs.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with a wide range of customers and colleagues.
• Skilled in identifying customer needs and connecting customers with the most appropriate products, services or support.
• Good judgement and decision-making skills, balancing customer outcomes with effective risk management.

Responsibilities

• Support customers throughout their relationship with Nationwide, from onboarding and everyday servicing to more complex needs, owning the customer journey to ensure good outcomes.
• Talk to customers about finance where it could help their business and develop the knowledge to make lending decisions within delegated authority.
• Help branch colleagues build Business Banking knowledge and confidence to recognise when a business customer could benefit from our products and services.
