Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Operative for Cauldon works, Stoke-on-Trent. You will drive loading shovels, load bulk materials, and manage stockpiles in a hazardous, weather-exposed environment.

Role requires CPCS/NPORS loading shovel card, 2+ years’ experience, and a valid driving licence. Shift is Mon-Fri 05:00–14:30. Temporary contract through Dec 2026 with possible extension.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loading shovels in construction/heavy industry.
• Familiar with health and safety regulations on-site.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheeled loading shovels safely across quarries.
• Load HGV lorries, articulated trucks and hoppers with bulk materials.
• Organise and maintain material stockpiles and site housekeeping.
• Promote site health and safety at all times.
• Adhere to shift pattern (Mon-Fri, 05:00–14:30).
• Must have CPCS/NPORS loading shovel card or be eligible.
