Job summary

Holcim is hiring a Mobile Plant Operative with a Loading Shovel licence for a temporary role in Somerset. You will operate loading shovels, load vehicles, and manage stockpiles while promoting site health and safety.

The role requires CPCS/NPORS licensing or a B2 licence, 2+ years in construction, and strong communication skills. Shifts include night, morning and afternoon on a 40-hour rota, with ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Essential requirements include B2 Licence or Loading shovel licence with CPCS/NPORS loading shovel card.
• 2+ years experience in Construction or Heavy Industry.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation.
• CSCS card would be an advantage.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheeled loading shovels safely across quarries.
• Load vehicles (HGVs, articulated trucks, hoppers) with bulk materials.
• Manage stockpiles and ensure site housekeeping and health and safety standards.
