Job summary

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Loading Shovel Driver to join our client at a busy green waste recycling site in Colsterworth, Grantham. This role offers a full-time, ongoing position with a pay rate of £15.50 per hour and weekly pay, working Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

You will operate a loading shovel safely, move materials around the site, and support shredding and screening activities while adhering to health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• A valid Loading Shovel Licence is essential.
• Previous loading shovel operating experience required.
• Experience within waste management or recycling preferred.
• Strong health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a loading shovel to move green waste materials.
• Feed green waste into shredders and support screening operations.
• Move, load and stockpile materials around the site.
• Maintain an efficient flow of materials to support site operations.
• Carry out daily machinery checks and report faults or defects.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operating a loading shovel to move and handle green waste materials.
• Feeding green waste into shredders and supporting screening operations.
• Moving, loading and stockpiling materials around the site.
• Maintaining an efficient flow of materials to support site operations.
• Carrying out daily machinery checks and reporting any faults or defects.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Requirements

• A valid Loading Shovel Licence is essential.
• Previous experience operating a loading shovel is required.
• Experience within waste management, recycling, aggregates or a similar environment is preferred.
• A strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• A reliable, hardworking and proactive attitude.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
