Job summary

Daval Associates in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Loading Shovel Operator for their busy recycling and composting facility at Ownby (LN8 2AD). The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £15.50, paid weekly, with overtime paid at 1.5x.

The candidate will work Monday–Friday, 7am–5pm, with immediate start for the right person and a full-time ongoing opportunity within a growing operation focused on environmental waste management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a Loading Shovel is essential.
• A valid Loading Shovel certificate or licence (NPORS, CPCS, or equivalent) is desirable.
• Experience in recycling, waste management, agriculture, quarrying, or similar environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Loading Shovel safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload articulated lorries and collection vehicles.
• Move and transport materials around the site.
• Feed tunnels, shredders, screening equipment, and other processing machinery.
• Support day-to-day recycling and composting operations.
• Carry out daily machine checks, greasing, and basic cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Comply with all site Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

Our client is currently recruiting an experienced Loading Shovel Driver to join their busy recycling and composting facility based in Owmby.
