Job summary

Contract Personnel is recruiting an experienced Loading Shovel Operator for a Norfolk recycling plant near Norwich. You will safely operate the loading shovel, load/unload materials, and work within health and safety procedures to maintain smooth production.

The role is full time, 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts from 06:00 to 18:00, with overtime pay. CPCS certification and recycling/waste experience are preferred; you will join a dedicated team offering progression and 24/7 support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Loading Shovel Operator, preferably in a recycling or waste management environment.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of materials.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the loading shovel to move materials within the plant, including recyclable materials and waste products.

• Ensure efficient material flow to and from processing areas, while maintaining strict adherence to operational procedures and safety protocols.

• Collaborate with the site team to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are followed.
• Work closely with supervisors and other staff to meet the recycling plant's operational requirements.

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for one of Norfolk's biggest recycle companies based on the outskirts of Norwich. They're currently seeking an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in our daily operations.
