Job summary

Contract Personnel Ltd is recruiting Recycling Operatives for a full-time position based in the Norwich area. The role involves sorting recyclable materials on a fast-moving conveyor belt, ensuring accurate separation by type (plastics, metals, paper) to support sustainable waste management.

You will stand for long periods in a busy environment, follow site safety rules, wear PPE, and work across shifts including weekends. Weekly pay and a company pension are offered.

• Comfortable working in a waste/recycling environment.
• Good attention to detail and fast hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manual Sorting: identify and manually separate recyclable materials from general waste on a conveyor belt.
• Material Handling: sort items into appropriate containers or chutes for further processing.
• Quality Control: remove non-recyclable or contaminated items to maintain quality.
• Health & Safety: follow site safety instructions and wear PPE at all times.
• Housekeeping: keep sorting area clean, tidy and free of obstructions.
• Teamwork: communicate with colleagues and supervisors to meet sorting targets.
• Any other duties as required

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting Recycling Operatives based in the Norwich area. This is a full time role.

We are looking for reliable Recycling Operatives to work on a fast-moving conveyor belt line, sorting and separating recyclable materials by type (e.g., plastics, metals, paper). This is a key role in supporting environmental sustainability and efficient waste management operations.

Duties and responsibilities

• Manual Sorting: Identify and manually separate recyclable materials from general waste on a conveyor belt.
• Material Handling: Sort items into appropriate containers or chutes for further processing or recycling.
• Quality Control: Remove non-recyclable or contaminated items to maintain the quality of sorted materials.
• Health & Safety: Follow all site safety instructions and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Housekeeping: Keep the sorting area clean, tidy, and free of obstructions.
• Teamwork: Communicate with colleagues and supervisors to maintain smooth operations and meet sorting targets.
• Any other duties as required

Requirements
