Qualifications

• Valid NPORS Loading Shovel Operator Qualification.
• Experience operating a loading shovel in busy industrial/recycling/aggregates environments.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform physically demanding yard duties.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.
• Good communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures.
• Load and unload materials into vehicles, hoppers, stockpiles, and processing equipment.
• Assist with the movement, sorting, and storage of materials around the yard.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Ensure stockpiles are maintained safely and accurately.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and hazard‑free.
• Carry out general yard duties including housekeeping, sweeping, litter picking, and basic labouring tasks.
• Support other site operations as required.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth site operations.
