Job summary

Thiess is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to join our Production Mining Team. You will operate heavy mining loaders with focus on safety, efficiency and accuracy, supporting ROM loading and road preparation while following Thiess procedures.

The role offers a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth to Iron Bridge Mine, with full camp facilities and development opportunities. A strong safety record and Australian driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience operating a CAT 994 Loader in a production mining operation including loading at the ROM.
• Equivalent experience in Komatsu WA 1200, Le Tourneau 1850.
• Demonstrated mining operational skills maintaining pit floors and bunds in a mining production environment.
• Sound knowledge of ore mark ups and pit configuration.
• Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times.
• Valid Australian drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output.
• Complying with Thiess' policies and procedures.
• Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor.
• Maintaining floor levels.
• Minimising dilution and achieving design parameters within tolerances.
• Maintain stockpiles, dumps and haul roads to ensure flow in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate, drive and move material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads.
• Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
• Carrying out pre-start checks.
