Job summary

Serco Limited in Watton is seeking a Refuse & Recycling Loader on a permanent basis to join the Breckland team. You’ll provide a complete waste and recycling service for residents and businesses, working with a dedicated, friendly team to keep streets and properties clean and safe.

The role requires physical fitness and punctuality, with a schedule of 40 hours per week (Mon–Fri, with Saturday after bank holidays). Strong community presence and customer service are key to success.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and healthy (this is a must, due to the nature of the work).
• Dedicated, friendly and professional team player – punctuality is very important.
• Willing to go the extra mile on your rounds to help your team hit its targets.

• You will be the public face of Serco’s Environmental Services team in the community.

With a professional, dedicated and friendly team of Refuse Collection staff, we ensure that streets, homes and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve.

You’ll be entrusted to:

• Complete a pre-planned route with the driver and loaders in your team, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
• You will be the public face of Serco’s Environmental Services team in the community.
• Contribute to keeping the area beautiful, safe and a clean place to live and work
