Job summary

Serco is recruiting a HGV Refuse & Recycling Driver/Loader for the Richmond area, based in Twickenham. You will operate a pre-planned route with a team of Loaders, delivering a full waste and recycling service to residents and businesses while maintaining high standards of customer service.

The role requires a valid Class 1/2 licence with Driver CPC, a strong work ethic, physical fitness and a positive customer-focused attitude. Monday–Friday shifts with occasional weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and Driver CPC.
• Be hardworking, physically fit and healthy for the demanding role.
• Demonstrate a positive, customer-focused, team player approach.

Responsibilities

• Set off on a pre-planned route as the driver with loaders, collecting waste and recycling from homes and businesses.
• Be the public face of Serco's Environmental Services in the community.
• Complete vehicle safety checks and ensure the truck is clean and ready before rounds.

You’ll Be Entrusted To

• You will set off on a pre-planned route as the driver with your team of Loaders you are working with collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
• You will be the public face of Serco's Environmental Services team in the community.
• Before setting out on your rounds, you will ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready.
