Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Liverpool is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer for Building Services to lead electrical design on major construction projects. The role offers up to £50 per hour (Inside IR35) on a 12-month+ contract, with office presence once per week.

You will collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams, coordinating M&E and BIM designs while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards. Mentoring junior engineers is also part of the remit.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• CIBSE/IET member or working towards Chartership.
• Strong experience in building services design (HVAC / MEP).
• Experience delivering medium to large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of BIM, Revit, and design coordination.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Electrical design for major construction projects.
• Produce high-quality designs, specifications, and technical solutions.
• Work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate designs across disciplines (M&E, BIM, etc.).

You could work for a leading Building Services contractor, with a presence with the following details; Location: Liverpool (1x a week in the office) Rate: Up to £50 per hour (Inside IR35) Duration: 12 months +
