Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer in Building Services to work on major construction projects in Leeds. The role offers a contract with variety and the chance to mentor junior engineers, with a Leeds location and 1x a week in the office.

You will deliver electrical designs, coordinate with M&E and BIM teams, and ensure compliance with regulations. Requires a degree and proven building services experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• CIBSE / IET member (or working towards Chartership).
• Strong experience in building services design (HVAC / MEP).
• Experience delivering medium to large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of BIM, Revit, and design coordination.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality designs, specifications, and technical solutions.
• Work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate designs across disciplines (M&E, BIM, etc.).

• Support cost planning, estimates, and pre-construction activities.
• Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions.
• Support and mentor junior engineers where required.

Are you a senior Electrical Engineer in Building Service Design and looking to work on some exciting projects? Do you want a contract role with variety? You could work for a leading Building Services contractor, with a national presence.

Location: Leeds (1x a week in the office)

Rate: Up to £55 per hour (Inside IR35)

Duration: 12 months +

Key Responsibilities
