Carrington West is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer in Building Services to lead electrical design on major construction projects. You will deliver high-quality designs, specifications and technical solutions, coordinating with clients, architects and multi-disciplinary teams.

Significant experience in HVAC/MEP, BIM and Revit coordination is essential. The role involves mentoring junior engineers and contributing to cost planning and pre-construction activities, with a hybrid Liverpool-based

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• CIBSE / IET member (or working towards Chartership).
• Strong experience in building services design (HVAC / MEP).
• Experience delivering medium to large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of BIM, Revit, and design coordination.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Are you a senior Electrical Engineer in Building Service Design and looking to work on some exciting projects? Do you want a contract role with variety?

You could work for a leading Building Services contractor, with a national presence with the following details;

Location: Liverpool (1x a week in the office)

Rate: Up to £50 per hour (Inside IR35)

Duration: 12 months +

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Electrical design for major construction projects
• Produce high-quality designs, specifications, and technical solutions
• Work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams
• Coordinate designs across disciplines (M&E, BIM, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and quality procedures
• Support cost planning, estimates, and pre-construction activities
• Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions
• Support and mentor junior engineers where required

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
