Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our building services team. You will deliver electrical designs and calculations across projects from concept to completion, working with a multidisciplinary group to ensure successful delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in electrical building services design, proficiency with AutoCAD, Amtech and Revit MEP, and a strong grasp of Building Regulations and British Standards.

  • Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical building services design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Amtech and Revit MEP.
  • Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and British Standards.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Producing detailed electrical designs and calculations for building services projects.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical specifications and reports.
  • Participating in client and project team meetings to discuss progress and address challenges.
  • Conducting site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to enhance project outcomes.
  • Develop and produce electrical building services designs and calculations for a variety of projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and other consultants to ensure designs are coordinated and meet project requirements.
  • Prepare technical specifications, reports, and documentation to support project delivery.
  • Attend project meetings and liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and progress.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction phases.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant Building Regulations, British Standards, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.
